Prevent Collisions With Nearly-Invisible Bird Divert Film

Retrofitting buildings with Bird Divert avian window film can help mitigate bird collisions into exterior glass surfaces. Invisible (to the human eye) circles signal the presence of a glass pane to birds. The markings break up the reflection of surrounding vegetation and the sky, reducing the occurrence of birds flying into the glass. In addition to protecting birds, outfitting windows with bird safety markers help shield a property from damage.

Bird Divert has been tested by the American Bird Conservancy (ABC) and achieved a threat factor of 18. According to ABC, threat factors indicate the relative ability of materials to reduce avian collisions. Products with lower threat factors are considered more effective at preventing bird collisions. A threat factor of 30 should reduce collisions by at least 50% and is ABC’s upper threshold for categorizing materials as bird friendly.
