What is Ceramic Coating?
A ceramic coating is a measurable layer of silicone that decreases the coefficient of friction of many automotive surfaces (paint, wheels, glass, etc), making it easier to clean and remove tree sap, bug splats, bird droppings, and other contaminants.
Despite industry claims, a ceramic coating is not a 9H protective barrier to your car’s paint that can prevent paint damage as paint protection film can. A ceramic coating decreases your paint’s coefficient of friction, thereby making it easier to clean.
3M Ceramic Coating
3M’s Ceramic Coating is a professionally-applied system that is easy-to-use, cost-effective, and versatile. You don’t need multiple solutions to address every part of the vehicle – one 3M Ceramic Coating bottle does it all!
The kit includes the following:
- Q=1 bottle (40 ml) of 3M Ceramic Coating
- Q=1 applicator block
- Q=8 applicator block covers (bonnets)
Use in conjunction with 3M Ceramic Boost Spray and 3M Glass Pre-Treatment.
3M sells replacement applicator blocks and bonnets.
