Professional installation by a 3M Authorized installer is recommended for best results.
Cleaning the application surface properly is one of the most important steps to ensuring a good application. Wash and dry the vehicle thoroughly. Wipe the application area and a large area around it with a solvent-based cleaner, wiping dry as you work. Wipe again with a 2:1 mixture of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and water, wiping dry as you work. For complete details, please read 3M’s Instruction Bulletins. Alternatively, use 3M Surface Preparation System and lint-free paper towels for cleaning the application surface. After cleaning make sure that the application surface is completely dry.
