With the exception of clear security films or clear UV films, window films purposely have a combination of color, tint, and reflectivity to provide the requisite performance. The amount of color, tint, and reflectivity will determine what your window looks like after installation. Remember that most unfilmed glass already has a degree of color, tint, and reflectivity to it.
Assuming the film was professionally installed, you should not notice creases, air pockets at the window’s perimeter, scratches, or air bubbles after the film has cured. It is a good idea to inspect the installation but you should look through the window rather than at the window. Many imperfections that you find are imperfections in the glass itself that you never knew existed. To this end, the International Window Film Association has established industry guidelines for inspecting a professionally installed film.
