The 3M Vehicle Color Change program is a three-day course dedicated to teaching installers how to install 3M Wrap Film Series 2080. Students learn the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to advance in the personal auto industry. The trainer emphasizes hands-on training using the proper application tools to help installers succeed in real-world situations.
On the third day, installers have the option to continue training or attempt the installation test if they feel confident in their skillset. Installers who take and pass the test will earn the 3M Vehicle Color Change Preferred Installer accreditation. Students who are new to the industry (or who have less than a year of experience) are advised not to take the test.
Who is Mother Marian?
Mother Marian is a 30-year vinyl film veteran who also happens to be a great installation trainer. Marian began her vinyl career as an installer for a local sign shop. She then started Perceptual Motion, a national film installation company based in Aberdeen, MD. After installing 3M vinyl graphic film for national fleet accounts (USPS, Budweiser, Best Buy, etc) at various locations throughout the United States, Marian sold Perceptual Motion to assist her soon-to-be-retired mother in another family business.
After less than 12 months in an unrelated business, it became apparent to Marian that she missed the film industry. That is when she accepted a position at EPD as an installation trainer for various 3M automotive and architectural films. And she hasn’t looked back since!
Why Attend Training with Mother Marian?
Aside from her expertise in vinyl installation, Marian is a great trainer. After all, her nickname is Mother Marian. And what do you expect from a mother? Nurturing, guidance, handholding, and patience – all of which are qualities that make for a great trainer.
Just as important as the hands-on training is the post-training support. So, we don’t say goodbye to you after your last day of class. Actually, our relationship is just getting started.
Marian will be just a phone call or email away when you need her. She’ll continue to guide you along the way for as long as you need her. All she asks is that you purchase all your 3M Vinyl Wrap Film Series 2080 and other films and coatings from our online store at epdwindowfilm.com/shop.
Why Choose EPD?
In addition to having Mother Marian as your trainer, attending training at EPD has multiple benefits.
We limit the number of trainees to four per class. This increases that amount of personal attention that you’ll receive from Mother Marian.
We don’t cancel class. Some training centers will cancel the training class if it’s not filled to capacity. We don’t. We’ll conduct training even if it’s just you. You’ll have the added comfort of knowing you won’t have to cancel your hotel and flight reservations.
EPD is celebrating 40 years of being part of the film industry. We have numerous industry partners and participate in many industry trade shows (Window Film Revolution Family Reunion, Tinter Battles, International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off). EPD is also a proud sponsor of Tinters for a Cause, a worthy film industry charity.
