3M Insulating / Sun Control and Safety & Security Window Films are warrantied anywhere from one to 15 years for commercial applications, with most films being warrantied for at least 10. Most of these same films feature a non-transferable lifetime warranty in residential applications. Both labor and material are warrantied in this comprehensive warranty.

Clients can be assured that 3M’s window film products feature a tough abrasion-resistant coating that helps its films maintain their longevity. 3M is so confident in its product durability that it permits the use of Windex® to clean its films as ammonia-based cleaners will not damage the abrasion-resistant coating or void the warranty.
