It depends. 3M Insulating / Sun Control and Safety & Security Window Films cannot be installed on Plexiglas® while some 3M Glass Finishes can.

3M Insulating / Sun Control and Safety & Security Window Films are designed for glass. As such, the adhesive used on these films is appropriate only for glass, not a plastic polycarbonate such as Plexiglas®. If installed on a polycarbonate, there is a strong chance the film will outgas and bubble. There are occasions where a blister-free film can be installed on the polycarbonate and then a window film installed on top. However, generally speaking, installations on polycarbonate should be avoided.

3M Glass Finishes such as many Fasara products, Dusted & Frosted Crystal, and Dichroic are suitable for glass and Plexiglas®.
